News Turkey and Russia extend energy agreement

The current agreement between Turkey and Russia on gas supply, due to come to an end in 2012, will be extended following a meeting in Sochi between Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan. A new pipeline, BlueStream2, will expand capacity by 10 bn. cu.m. annually. Supply via the pipeline is planned to the Middle East, Israel and other countries.
