News Service contract forecast for €4 million Eastern Partnership INOGATE energy governance project

The European Commission has published a forecast for a €4 million individual service contract for Strengthening institutional capacity for sustainable energy governance in the Eastern Partnership. The publication reference of the forecast is EuropeAid/130597/C/SER/RVS.The intended timing of the procurement notice is the fourth quarter of 2010.

The overall objective of the Project is to support the INOGATE Partner Countries to reduce their dependency on fossil fuels and imports, to improve security of their energy supply and to allow them to contribute more actively to climate change mitigation.

More specifically the project will assist those countries in strengthening energy institutional governance in relation to sustainable energy. It will also strengthen the regional policy dialogue on sustainable energy and improve business climate for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments.

The project will be implemented within the framework of the INOGATE programme.
