Relationships between the EU and Ukraine
On Tuesday, 15 June, the EU and Ukraine will hold a Cooperation Council meeting. On this occasion the ENPI Info Centre has prepared a press pack on EU-Ukraine relations, available in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
At a meeting on 9 June in the framework of the EU-Ukraine Political Dialogue, the Ukrainian Government pledged to extend the battle against corruption, human and drug trafficking and to improve border control. The Spanish Presidency told its Ukrainian counterparts that “good border management to prevent illegal immigration was one of the ‘major shared challenges’, and gave a positive appraisal of Ukraine's progress on issues such as the standardisation of documentation and biometric passports with the EU,” according to a Presidency press release.
