Project “Enhancement of Environmental Protection Measures in the Oil and Gas Industry of Central Asia” holds seminar in Dushanbe
The INOGATE project "Enhancement of Environmental Protection Measures in the Oil and Gas Industry of Central Asia" held a seminar in Dushanbe,Tajikistan on 16th-17th November, on the topic "Foundations and implementation of ISO 14001:2004". Over 30 senior officials attended, from the State Committee for Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Energy and Industry, OJSC "TajikTransGas", "Tajikstandart" and other local stakeholders. The event provided an opportunity for all participants to exchange information and experience on environmental management systems based on ISO 14000 family standards including recommendations for further actions to be taken by Tajikistan in improvement of the environmental protection measures in its energy sector.
