News Naftohaz Ukrainy Expecting Increase in Gas Transit Rate of 57-60% by 2010

The Naftohaz Ukrainy national joint-stock company expects that the rate of  gas transit via Ukraine will grow by 57-60% to USD 2.67-2.72 per thousand cubic meters per hundred kilometers in 2010. This is reportd in the company's consolidated financial returns for 2008. The company said that in accordance with agreements signed on January 19 with Russia's gas monopoly, Gazprom, for 2009,  the transit rates are USD 1.7 per thousand cubic meters per hundred kilometers.
