News Major Energy Agreement between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

The Kazakh government-owned operator of the enrgy market, KOREM, has announced an agreement to purchase 37 m. kilowatt hours opf electricity from the state-owned electricity generator of Kyrgyzstan. This agreement could be a major stepping-stone towards the development of coordinated energy markets in the region.
