News INOGATE Partner Countries launch series of Information Events

The INOGATE Partner Countries are participating in a series of Information Events, which will support energy cooperation in the framework of the Baku Initiative. In each country, those invited to the Events will include Energy Ministry officials, representatives of the EC Delegation, representatives of the INOGATE programme, Tacis Monitoring and Coordination Unit, INOGATE Working Group members, representatives of the national regulatory body, representatives of energy companies, energy agencies, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and Energy Efficiency/Renewable Energy centers, representatives of International Financial Institutions and other financial organisations, energy institutions, academia and representatives of the EU funded INOGATE projects currently active in the country.

Each Event, which will be organized by the country's Energy Ministry with the support of the INOGATE Technical Secretariat, will advise these key energy stakeholders about the latest INOGATE activities in their country and communicate the technical support that can be accessed through ongoing INOGATE projects. The opportunity will also be taken to present the INOGATE Work Programme for the period through to December 2010. In conjunction with the Events, experts from the SEMISE project will also arrange meetings to follow up their earlier visits and to promote the SEMISE ‘Ad Hoc Expert' Facility and Project Preparation Facility.

The INOGATE Information events will be organised in the period mid of November 2009 up to late January 2010. Details of timing and venue are in process of determination, but will be added to the INOGATE web portal's Events board.
