EU hopes gas agreements can avert future crises
European Commissioner for external relations Benita Ferrero-Walder has said that the EU will discuss bilateral agreements with countries of the NIS that could avert future crises of gas supply. The potential for EU partnerships would depend on countries’ progress toward democracy, she said, adding that “We are looking for investors to upgrade the Ukraine’s pipelines."
