ENERGY: A Week of INOGATE events to highlight the results of the EU’s international energy cooperation with the East
A week of INOGATE events will take place in Brussels from 12-15 October 2009 which will bring together representatives of the EU and the littoral states of the Black and Caspian Seas and their neighbours to discuss the results of the work being carried out, in particular on the reduction of gas losses and the harmonisation of gas standards, as well as on combating climate change. INOGATE is the EU’s technical assistance programme which is supporting the political framework for international energy cooperation in this region, referred to as the ‘Baku Initiative’.
