INOGATE Work Programme
The INOGATE Partner Countries and the EU have endorsed a work programme for 2009-2010 that outlines actions in the four priority areas, namely furthering convergence of energy markets, enhancing energy security, furthering sustainable energy development and attracting investment.
At their Working Groups Meeting in Brussels on 27-28 April, the EU and the Partner Countries agreed to foster dialogue and promote exchange of experiences in all sectors covered by the INOGATE programme, namely oil and gas, electricity, energy efficiency and renewable energies. They also pledged to improve the co-ordination of all INOGATE activities and the consistency of energy assistance initiatives in the NIS region. For its part, the EU has vowed to support the Partner Countries in “fully embedding the objectives of the Energy Road Map into their national policies”.
The work programme reiterates the EU’s commitment to support the Partner Countries through technical assistance, as well as the transfer of experience and know-how.
The programme is updated on a six-monthly basis.
