EPMOGI Seminar, 'Foundation of the European Environmental Legislation', Ashgabat
On 2nd June 2010 a seminar on «Foundation of the European Environmental Legislation» will be held at the Ministry of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat involving more than 40 senior officials from the Ministry of Nature Protection, Ministry of Oil and Gas, State Concerns "Turkmenneft" and "Turkmengas" as well as other local and international stakeholders cooperating with this European Union-funded INOGATE Programme project "Enhancement of Environmental Protection Measures in the Oil/Gas Industry of the Central Asia".
This event will provide an excellent opportunity for all participants to get acquainted with all key EU directives and regulations covering the issues of environmental protection in the oil and gas industry. Other specific areas to be considered during the workshop will cover the European guidelines for harmonisation in Environmental Protection area and the further implementation of Kyoto Protocol after COP 15 Summit in Copenhagen.
